Dean Wang also serves in several other important roles; as aconsultant of the Expert Guidance Committee of Preschool Education in Guangdong Province,ViceChairof the Ethics Committee of Meizhou Women and Children Health Hospital andcommitteemember of Meizhou People’s Hospital. In the past he has helda few posts,includingDean ofEducation ScienceSchool,Chairof the Psychology ResearchInstitute ofJiayingCollege, theacademic and technical leader of Education Department of Henan Province,andan expert of Psychological Disease Consultation Centerof Jiaozuo city.
Asone of the first cohort of teachers holdingthe qualificationof training national psychological consultant, he is committed to researching mental health and psychological counseling treatment. As a professor, he teaches coursesincludingcounseling psychology, mental health, general psychology, behavior correction, clinical psychology,childrendevelopment and educationpsychologyandeducational science research methods.
Research Projects:The eighth five-year plan project of the State Education Commission:A Comprehensive Study on the Relationship between Learning and Overall Development in Psychology;theUNICEF project:China 3.3.3 Intelligence Scale. Presidingover 2 national sub-projects, over 13 provincial projects,andparticipatingin 3 national projects.
Academic Achievements:Dr. Wang has published 5 books and participated in the compilation of 3of them, among whichClinical Disease Psychologywas awarded the first prize ofNationalExcellentEducationBook and was praised by domestic experts. To date, it is still used as the reference book for medical psychology majors in many universities.In addition, he has published more than 30 academic papers inChinese Mental Health Journal, Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology andother journals, including 13 core papers in Chinese and 2 in foreign languages.
