Closing Ceremony of 2022 Freshman English Intensive

Training Camp Was Successfully Held

In order to make freshmen adapt to international atmosphere as soon as possible, and improve their confidence in English learning, International School of Huashang College held a three-day English intensive training camp for freshmen of Class 2022. Freshmen gained lots of new knowledge and their horizon was broadened through the camp. At the end of the training camp, International School held the closing ceremony in the Library Lecture Hall at 19:00 on November 1st, 2022.

Attendees included all the freshmen and senior student representatives. Staff and faculty in attendance included: Professor Li Pinghai, the Vice Dean of the International School; Dr. Sal Mirza, Mr. Colin Black and Ms. Wang Yuan, faculty of the camp; Mr. Yang Lijun, the Counselor of the International School; and all the staff from the International School.

To kick-off the event, Lu Yunzhi, a representative of the freshmen, gave a speech. He said that as a member of the training camp, he experienced the dynamic classes of the camp and witnessed the freshman’s hard work in the rehearsal. At the same time, through continuous division of labor and cooperation, they all strengthen the sense of teamwork. Finally, he expressed his gratitude to the faculty of the training camp for their informative classes and the International school for providing a learning platform, and hoped that everyone could find a sense of belonging in the International School.

Besides, Mr.Colin conveyed that the students’ performance in the training camp was excellent and deserved praise. He hoped that students could have more self-confidence to express and courage to try in their future life. For the wonderful stage show of this closing ceremony, the freshman have made elaborate and sufficient preparations. Finally, he wished a successful show tonight!

After the performance, Dr.Sal made comments. He noted that the International School would hold this activity each year, but with the coming and involvement of the new grade, the show every year would be innovative and unique. Meanwhile, he inspired the students to have more courage to try without fear of setbacks and failures.

Vice Dean Li Pinghai congratulated the freshman on their fabulous performance in this training camp! He pointed out that the success of the show could not be separated from all faculty’s support and cooperation. The students on the stage were very versatile, which left a deep impression on the audience. The hard work of the staff off the stage made the performance success. Moreover, he put forward ardent expectations for the freshman, hoping that the students can remember their mission, live up to the expectations of their parents and the country, and achieve their own brilliant future!
