In preparation for the Ministry of Education’s evaluation of undergraduate vocational education and to effectively implement the tasks and requirements for our college’s undergraduate education and teaching assessment, we sought to learn advanced practices and experiences. Under the coordination of Guangzhou Huashang College International School, on September 30, 2024, a delegation of eight members—led by Dean Hui Yanyan and Vice Dean Zhang Zhen, along with Student Affairs Director Guan Huihui and faculty members Hao Zixiu, He Jiali, Wang Yongyue, Xiong Wei, and Huang Junhui—visited Guangzhou College of Commerce International School. They held an experience-sharing session on the evaluation process with the Party Branch Secretary Zhong Yuanhui, Vice Dean Yang Yueqing, Office Director Wang Xintong, and faculty members Meng Qiao, Chen Hui, Cao Lei, Wu Yizhen, and Wang Ruiqi in the meeting room of Guangzhou College of Commerce International School.

President Guo Hang of Guangzhou College of Commerce warmly received the delegation. After a campus tour showcasing the college’s facilities, both parties engaged in discussions.
First, President Guo introduced the recent developments, educational strengths, and teaching construction of Guangzhou College of Commerce. He also elaborated on the number of faculty and students, distinctive majors, and the general status of international education at the institution.
Subsequently, Vice Dean Yang Yueqing of Guangzhou College of Commerce International School presented an overview of the school’s recent enrollment situation. Through a promotional video, she concisely introduced the college’s founding background, major offerings, and faculty composition.

Vice Dean Yang Yueqing then provided a detailed sharing of Guangzhou College of Commerce’s successful experience in passing the evaluation. She explained that the Ministry of Education’s evaluation of undergraduate vocational education primarily focuses on teaching materials, teaching quality, and graduation theses (designs), with strict standards applied by the review experts for each aspect. She also elaborated on the college’s practices and experiences in the evaluation process, as well as innovative transformations in talent cultivation models, offering highly valuable insights for reform and innovation.
To further deepen professional exchanges, Dean Hui Yanyan engaged in in-depth discussions with Vice Dean Yang Yueqing regarding the standardized planning of evaluation work.

Dean Hui Yanyan stated that the International School would mobilize all faculty members to thoroughly understand the evaluation indicators, integrate the assessment principles into the education and teaching process, and ensure the high-quality completion of the undergraduate teaching evaluation.
This meeting provided clear direction and constructive guidance for the International School in preparing for the undergraduate teaching evaluation and advancing disciplinary development, offering a clearer goal and plan for the assessment work.

The successful execution of this exchange activity provided beneficial references for Guangzhou Huashang College’s evaluation efforts. It not only strengthened mutual understanding and cooperation between the two institutions but also established a valuable platform for mutual support and shared development in the evaluation process.
