From August 26 to August 30, 2024, three students from the International School, Li Meijing, Chang Shiyi, and Gong Yuxin, who had won awards in the “9th International Elite Program Competition” at Guangzhou Huashang College, participated in a study visit to Singapore on a full scholarship, along with other award-winningstudents.

This event was jointly organized by Guangzhou Huashang College and Edvantage Institute Singapore (EIS) . During the study trip, the delegation first visited EIS, where they gained a detailed understanding of Singapore's education system, cultural characteristics, cultural highlights, and unique customs. Subsequently, Mr. Hafiz and Ms. Nicolette, experienced teachers from EIS, tested the students' English proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing. Based on the test results, the students received personalized guidance to precisely identify their strengths and areas for improvement in English learning, providing clear directions for enhancing their language skills.

.

Apart from their studies, the students explored Singapore's local customs, multicultural environment, and urban development, and visited landmarks such as Haji Lane, Sultan Mosque, Clarke Quay, Bird Park, Merlion Park, and the National University of Singapore. Through these experiences, they gained a deeper understanding of multicultural integration, ethnic harmony, the international influence of Chinese culture, and modern higher education talent training models.

At the graduation ceremony, three EIS mentors—Mr. Graham, Mr. Jeffery, and Mr. Shan—guided the students to form teams and collaboratively develop an innovative business project. After discussions and design, the students showcased the innovative aspects of their projects, the design process, and demonstrated their teamwork and communication skills to the judges.

The five-day study trip not only broadened the students' international horizons, enhanced their academic thinking, and deepened their understanding of multiculturalism, but also taught them how to adapt to learning and living environments that involve working with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds. Additionally, they improved their team collaboration and project management skills, which laid a solid foundation for their future global career development.
