On December 6, 2024, the 14th Annual Sports Meet of Guangzhou Huashang College grandly opened, with the International School’s team and athlete representatives Li Boyuan, Chen Chen, Li Jiaotong, and 54 other students shining at the opening ceremony. Full of enthusiasm and high spirits, they performed the passionate dance “Waka Waka,” showcasing youthful vitality and proudly chanting the slogan: “International School Shows Its Edge, Creating Glory on the Sports Field,” making a dazzling debut.

Double Triumph in High Jump and Long Jump — Lin Yuequn’s Outstanding Achievements

In the intense track and field competitions, Lin Yuequn from Class of 2024, International Economics and Trade program, stood out brilliantly in both men’s high jump and long jump events, earning second place in high jump and third place in long jump, showcasing excellent jumping ability and precise technique.

Sprinting on the Track — Jiang Yiran’s Remarkable Double Results

In the women’s sprint events, Jiang Yiran from Class of 2024, International English program, took third place in the 100-meter dash and second place in the 200-meter dash. Her outstanding performance not only challenged her personal speed limits but also vividly embodied the spirit of speed and passion of the International School.

Women’s 4x100m Relay — Teamwork Creating New Glory

In the women’s 4x100 meter relay final, the team composed of Huang Yasheng (Class of 2022, International English Program, Upgrading Class 1), Shi Ruini (Class of 2023, International English Program 1), Liu Xile (Class of 2023, International Economics and Trade Program 1), and Jiang Yiran (Class of 2024, International English Program) transformed the relay baton into a symbol of trust and strength. They sprinted fiercely on the track with every baton exchange demonstrating close coordination. After intense competition, they won a commendable second place.

Firefighting Team Competition Showcases Style — Six-Person Squad Wins Honors

In the newly added firefighting team event, International School students under the guidance of Zengcheng Fire Brigade demonstrated excellent teamwork and emergency response skills. In the fire hose maneuvering event, Guan Tao from Class of 2024, International Economics and Trade, and Li Zheya from Class of 2023, International English Program 1, helped the school secure fourth place overall.

In the 6x50 firefighting relay, the team comprising Liu Yawen and Zhi Yuran (both from Class of 2024, International Accounting 1), He Jiahui (Class of 2024, International Preschool Education), Lai Yuefeng (Class of 2024, International Accounting 2), Guan Tao (Class of 2024, International Economics and Trade), and Li Zheya (Class of 2023, International English Program 1) achieved sixth place school-wide, showcasing the team spirit and fighting determination of the International School students.

Men’s 4x100m Relay Earns Sixth Place

In the men’s 4x100 meter relay event, the quartet of Li Pei (Class of 2024, International Economics and Trade), Yuan Zifeng (Class of 2024, International Accounting 2), Xie Tianxiang (Class of 2024, International Accounting 1), and Pang Sijie (Class of 2024, International Economics and Trade) secured sixth place with seamless cooperation and steady performance.

Shot Put Demonstrates Talent — Huang Yuzhi Achieves Seventh Place

In the men’s shot put competition, Huang Yuzhi from Class of 2024, International Accounting 2, achieved an impressive seventh place in his first-ever competition, highlighting his solid skills and stable execution.

Athletes in other events also performed outstandingly, pouring their youthful energy and sweat into their respective contests.
