The "Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands High-Quality Development Project" (abbreviated as the "Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project") in Guangdong Province aims to address the prominent shortcomings in the province's high-quality development, particularly the weak development in counties, towns, and rural areas. Through the rural revitalization strategy, the project strives to achieve integrated urban-rural development, comprehensively elevate the levels of new industrialization, informatization, urbanization, and agricultural modernization. One of its key tasks is to promote industrial development. Since the launch of the Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project, 125 universities in Guangdong have initiated the "Hundred Universities Partnering with Hundred Counties" initiative, focusing on strengthening industrial and technological support, improving urban-rural planning and construction services, and completing alignment efforts, resulting in over 800 cooperative projects. From the protection of mangroves in Qishui, Leizhou, to live-streaming sales for the ceramic and tea industries in Dapu County, university students have been actively involved.

Guangzhou Huashang College emphasizes the practicality and applicability of talent cultivation, aiming to enhance rural cultural confidence through university-local cooperation, industrial integration, and cultural inheritance and leadership. Zhang Zhen, Vice Dean of the International School, and Feng Lexin from the Student Affairs Office actively organized students to participate in the Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project and formed the "Orange Charm and Plain Paper Research" Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project Task Force, composed of students from the International School and the School of Communication and Media. The team traveled to Zhongdong Town, Maoming City, with the original intention of promoting Huazhou orange peel (Huajuhong) and resolved to contribute youthful energy to rural revitalization.

On January 17, Wu Junhai, Deputy Party Secretary of Zhongdong Town and leader of the Zhuhai City Town Assistance and Rural Revitalization Team, affirmed the arrival of Guangzhou Huashang College's Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project Task Force. He emphasized that preventing households that have escaped poverty from falling back into poverty is the key to assistance work. The "Orange Charm and Plain Paper Research" Task Force needs to continuously monitor the living conditions of these households, provide timely support and comfort, ensure the effective implementation of poverty alleviation efforts, and achieve the goal of "successful poverty escape and no return to poverty," thereby solidifying the results of poverty alleviation and supporting the progress of rural revitalization.

Under the guidance of Wu Junhai, Deputy Party Secretary of Zhongdong Town, Maoming City, and the Rural Revitalization Team, the "Orange Charm and Plain Paper Research" Task Force visited households in Potou Village, Huazhou City, that had recently escaped poverty, delivering daily necessities and care while carefully understanding their current difficulties and needs.

Rural revitalization is a crucial national strategy and a heartwarming project that benefits millions of rural households. It is an essential path to achieving common prosperity for all people, addressing imbalances in development, and carries profound significance for inheriting China's excellent traditional culture and promoting integrated urban-rural development.

Huazhou orange peel, also known as Huajuhong, is a traditional specialty of Huazhou City, Maoming, Guangdong Province, with profound historical and cultural significance. As early as the Song Dynasty, Huazhou orange peel was discovered and used for medicinal purposes.

During their winter break, members of the "Orange Charm and Plain Paper Research" Task Force visited the Huajuhong Exhibition Hall, where they studied its medicinal value, development history, and market status in detail, gaining a deep understanding of its preciousness. Huazhou orange peel is pungent, bitter, and warm in nature, known for regulating qi, soothing the middle burner, drying dampness, and resolving phlegm. It is even hailed as the "Ginseng of the South."

Huazhou orange peel is not only a traditional specialty of Guangdong Province but has also been listed as an intangible cultural heritage of the province. As early as 2009, the craftsmanship of Huajuhong was recognized as a "Lingnan Chinese Medicinal Cultural Heritage of Guangdong Province." In 2011, Huajuhong was approved as an intangible cultural heritage of traditional Chinese medicine culture.

The traditional Chinese medicine culture of Huajuhong, with its medicinal value as the carrier, upholds the core values of "food as medicine and healing the world." It integrates Huajuhong cultivation, medicinal processing, and handicraft production. Protecting and inheriting this valuable cultural heritage, building a Huajuhong industrial cluster and a global Huajuhong industrial center, and further polishing the specialty agricultural product brand of "Hometown of Chinese Huajuhong" have become the important mission of our university's Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project—the "Orange Charm and Plain Paper Research" Task Force. Local poems, couplets, and inscriptions about Huajuhong are too numerous to mention. How to effectively tell the profound historical and cultural stories, such as "Immortal Luo Planting Oranges," "Lord Fan Recognizing Oranges," and "Prefect Curing Coughs," and conduct new media promotion for Huazhou orange peel specialty products will be the specific tasks of the task force in the coming period.

Led by Zhang Zhen, Vice Dean of the International School, and Feng Lexin, the "Orange Charm and Plain Paper Research" Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project Task Force has not only deepened its understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party

of China but has also clarified the need to take practical actions to connect with grassroots levels and serve society through Guangdong's Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project. As the Spring Festival approaches, the "Orange Charm and Plain Paper Research" Team brought warmth to households that have escaped poverty in Zhongdong Town, visited Huajuhong production bases, and learned about the intangible cultural heritage of Huajuhong. We firmly believe that the "Orange Charm and Plain Paper Research" Task Force, bearing glory and dreams, will play its due role in the new media promotion and operation of Huajuhong with the support of the local government and our university's Youth League Committee.
