In preparation for the upcoming undergraduate teaching qualification assessment, the International School organized a series of training sessions last semester, including comprehensive interpretations of assessment indicators, teaching documents, and institutional regulations. Building on this foundation, on the afternoon of February 25, the school further intensified its efforts by conducting a training session on student service and management systems, as well as financial reimbursement procedures. Dean Hui Yanyan and Vice Dean Zhang Zhen attended the session in person, joining all faculty and staff in the training to enhance the school's teaching and management standards and ensure full preparedness for the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment.

Director of Student Affairs Guan Huihui systematically outlined 40 regulations related to student service and management, which primarily fall into five categories:

1.Student learning, degree, academic status, and academic management;

2.Course assessment and grade management;

3.Student discipline and disciplinary action management;

4.Student awards and financial aid management;

5.Campus safety and emergency incident management.

Drawing on practical examples, Director Guan provided a detailed interpretation of 12 key regulations closely tied to student service and management. These include:

1.Regulations on the Academic Status Management of Full-Time Undergraduate Students at Guangzhou Huashang College

2.Interim Measures for Academic Warning Management of Undergraduate Students at Guangzhou Huashang College

3.Detailed Rules for Bachelor's Degree Management of Students at Guangzhou Huashang College

4.Revised Measures for Course Assessment and Grade Management of Undergraduate Students at Guangzhou Huashang College

5.Regulations on Student Disciplinary Actions at Guangzhou Huashang College

6.Measures for Psychological Crisis Intervention and Safety Guardianship of Students at Guangzhou Huashang College

7.Regulations on Student Dormitory Management at Guangzhou Huashang College

8.Interim Measures for Class Teacher Management at Huashang College

During the session, Director Guan particularly emphasized actionable recommendations for critical areas such as academic status management, academic warnings, and psychological crisis intervention. She stressed that student management must not only strictly adhere to institutional norms but also embody humanistic care, ensuring timely and precise understanding of students' thoughts and needs to achieve an organic integration of management and service.

Administrative Secretary Deng Xiwen systematically explained the regulations on travel and conference expense reimbursement. Referencing the Revised Measures for Travel Expense Management at Guangzhou Huashang College (2021) and the Interim Regulations on Conference Expense Management at Guangzhou Huashang College, she detailed the reimbursement standards, approval processes, and spending limits for transportation, accommodation, meal allowances, and other expenses. Special emphasis was placed on the review requirements and reimbursement procedures for official business travel. Additionally, Secretary Deng highlighted the proper use of project funds, recommending that faculty prioritize teaching-related activities while ensuring compliance to maximize the effectiveness of fund utilization. When explaining conference expense reimbursement, she clarified the scope and standards, underscoring the need for strict adherence to regulations.

From last semester to this semester, the International School has meticulously planned and organized a series of training sessions. Through these activities, all faculty and staff have gained a clear understanding of the requirements for the undergraduate qualification assessment and deepened their knowledge of institutional norms related to daily teaching operations, student service management, and fund usage. This not only lays a solid foundation for the school's comprehensive participation in the assessment but also advances the school's progress toward governance in accordance with regulations. Furthermore, it strengthens the service and management awareness of the faculty. In the long term, these training sessions have reinforced the school's overall management capabilities and teaching quality, playing a significant role in promoting high-quality, standardized, and sustainable development.
